Decorative Doors : Styling The Holiday's

Elizabeth Tobin

We have been in overdrive with the oncoming holiday season never seeming to slow. But add in a trip to the flower market, a major winter window installation, and a redesign to our window boxes, we are now officially styled for the season. This year we went with bright and simple boxwood wreaths to adorn the doors of our studio but we've seen so many inspiring outdoor designs that we wanted to share three of our favorites. We've curated options that with a bit yard cleanup and exterior accents could make your home shine a little bit brighter this season (or at least make the neighbors envious)!

1. Subtle Succulents

Go ahead, sneak in some succulents. We love this design from Studio Choo that can work both indoors and out. This wreath is as wild by adding some krans leaves as it is soft with some blue spruce hidden amongst the succulents scattered throughout. Succulents are all season plants, here is another way to design them this winter.

2. Farm Festive

Two words, apple and pine cone. We love the way the colors of this faux apple and light brown pine cone wreath create a romantic and cozy contrast. Faux fruit is always a safe styling go to. Why not use it outside as well? The reason this wreath works so well is how well it works with the color of the door. Be conscious of this. The key here is, don't clash your colors!

3. Felt Favorite

This is the perfect DIY project! Felt may not be the new leather but it is popping up all over the market. You can purchase these garlands to make one of your own at SYD+SAM ! Add a little sprig of spruce or even some holly berries and the holidays are quite literally at your door.
