  • DESIGN ASSISTANT

    Pinney Designs is a cohesive collaboration of interior designers for luxury residences with the belief that all disciplines contribute to an innovative and respected aesthetic that places the client at the heart of their home. Our team of professionals is seeking a Design Assistant.

    The ideal candidate for the position will have at least two years of experience working within a design firm and carry a strong interest in pursuing new projects with a seasoned team of professionals.

    Job Description:

    + Working closely with Project Manager and Lead Designer on various administrative aspects of an interior design project
    + Assist in the design process and in the production of interior architectural construction documents
    + Record measurements and place custom orders to specifications
    + Manage budget and change orders

    + Expertise in AutoCAD
    + Flexible and prompt response when plans and priorities change
    + Creative and progressive individual who is well-rounded
    + Pleasant personality and supportive team player

    Benefits:

  • PROJECT MANAGER

    We are seeking a skilled, highly organized and proactive Project Manager for our residential design studio. In this role you will steer projects from concept through completion, ensuring creative vision, client satisfaction, budget management, and schedule adherence. You’ll work closely with Lead Designers, the Design Team, vendors, contractors, and clients to deliver exceptional interiors that reflect our brand and exceed expectations.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Lead and manage multiple residential interior design projects concurrently, from design development through construction and installation.

    + Create, maintain and drive project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.

    + Manage project budgets, including cost tracking, change orders, and client approvals.

    + Coordinate and communicate with clients, designers, contractors, vendors, and other consultants to ensure alignment and timely execution.

    + Oversee procurement: tracking orders, ensuring compliance with specifications, coordinating deliveries and installations.

    + Facilitate on-site visits, liaise with contractors/subcontractors, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

    + Maintain project documentation and ensure all design and construction specifications are up to date.

    + Ensure the design team is supported: facilitate internal communication, manage hand-offs, assist with design team workflows.

    + Uphold high standards of design quality, client service, and team collaboration.

    Required Skills & Talents

    + Minimum 6+ years of experience in residential interior design or a related field (luxury/residential preferred).

    + Demonstrated ability to successfully lead interior design projects from start to finish.

    + Strong budgeting, scheduling, and organizational skills; able to juggle multiple tasks and adapt as priorities change.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable interfacing with clients, contractors, and vendors.

    + Proficiency with design/construction documentation (AutoCAD, Revit or similar), and familiarity with procurement/ordering systems.

    + A self-motivated, solution-oriented team player with a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and a pleasant, professional demeanor.

    + Deep understanding of luxury residential interiors: materials, finishes, furnishings, construction means & methods, timelines.

    + Flexibility to travel locally to project sites and attend client/contractor meetings as required.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + B.A./B.F.A. or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.

    + Experience working with high-end residential clients and custom homes.

    + Familiarity with sample libraries, vendor cultures, and vendor management.

    + Knowledge of Apple iWork or MS Office suite.
